Embassies and Consulates |
The government of India undertakes certain diplomatic mission in order to maintain diplomatic relationship with other foreign nations. This leads to growth of the world community and helps in promoting trade and commerce as well as keeps a check in wars between the nations. This is the concept behind having embassies and consulates. As India have its embassies and consulates in different countries, other countries to have theirs in India.
A foreign embassy is the official office of one country in the capital of another country. It is here where most of the communication between the two governments takes place and the ambassador of the home country works. In India there are ten Foreign Embassies and Consulates and all are situated in New Delhi. |
