The tourism industry is an important part of the economy of Hong Kong. Due to the introduction of the Individual Visit Scheme in 2003 there has been a sharp increase of mainland Chinese tourists. To promote Hong Kong as Asia's premier international city for all visitors, the Tourism Commission was established in May 1999.
Almost all the districts of Hong Kong are considered as a tourist destination. Some of the main attractions of Hong Kong are Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong Art Museum, Clock Tower, Kowloon Park, Ocean Terminal, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Che Kung Temple and many more.
