Nellitheertha Caves
Nellitheertha caves temples are located in Nellitheertha, in the Indian state of Karnataka. The cave temples date back to 1487. These temples are dedicated to the Indian deity Sri Somanatheshwara, also known as Shiva. The cave is more than 200 meters loans. To reach inside the cave, one has to crawl on their knees. Inside the cave there is a beautiful lake and a Shiva Lingam.
Nellitheertha cave is a holy destination and is visited by thousand of tourists every year. The lake inside the cave is considered to be sacred and the pilgrims flock here to take a bath in this holy lake. The mud inside the cave is also believed to have a great healing power.
